the bottles by AmberStoneArt the bottles by AmberStoneArt
Giant picture of the bottles. They're easier to see on here. Not so blurry. I have a bunch more pictures to add, but I don't feel like it right now. Bottles are here: [link]

And, yeahrs.... those are Japanese manga in the background there. For those of you that can't read Japanese, um... I can pretend to. Kind of like, "If you hum a few bars I can fake it." ^^
First we have (I'm just listing the foreign ones): doubutso no oishasan (animal doctor)
Kiseiju (aka Parasyte)
Kodomo no omocha (aka Kodocha aka Child's Toy)
Luna Lunatic
Evangelion: God's in his Heaven

There you go. That will allay any questions or queries about said books. Yup.

Looking at the bottles in pictures, I kind of like the second batch with the blotches and stuff better. Siren Song, Fairy Nectar and the Ground Pharoh Scarab are all from the second, more mottled paper. I still have some left.
Astute viewers will note that "Wolf's Bane" and "Love Potion No. 9" are missing. Well... I don't like Love Potion No.9. I don't like it one bit. Rather than waste an antique bottle on it, I've decided that I will do another one. As for Wolf's Bane, that bottle was full of oil when I bought it. I cleaned it out but I am waiting (impatiently) for it to dry.

These bottles rock Amber! I like the Fairy Nectar and Bone Chips the best, but they all are really cool! I could use these in my Halloween decor!

Also i was looking for my copy of Fire and Ice VHS in the shelving. :p I wanna read I LUV HALLOWEEN.

o_o; Do I still have that?... o_o; My bad if I do. If you don't find it let me know and I'll do a thorough search.

I will bring I LUV HALLOWEEN to the next sketch night. I only have the first volume, though.
And thank you! ^_^

Nay nay nay!!! If you go visit the site where they are for sale you will see that I expressly tell whether or not they contain things: [link]
Dried Frog Pills, Fairy Dust, and Eye of Newt are the only ones that actually have anything in them.

I always wondered why newt eyes were supposed to be magical... It's the skin that does interesting stuff, like breathing.

I like little newts. They are cute. We used to keep them as pets. They dry out easily.

They suffocate when they dry out. I read a bunch of newt facts the other day.

We would come home and find the newt out of his aquarium or bowl or whatever and he'd be in a corner stuck to the carpet. I don't know how he got out but eventually his wanderings killed him.

Aye. Happened to goldfish and mice, too. The mice, of course, did not dry out, by they did choke to death on rather benign food pellets or have their necks snapped by an ill-timed running wheel. A plastic one, even... I suspect foul play...

Ah well after giving all these pictures a good look, I've got to say that this is quite a collection of bottles you've got here. They're very charming and unique in their own ways, right down to the bottle shapes and contents. Marvelous!

My favorites, now, still remain the same. I LOVE the Fairy Nectar and the interesting canister you set it up with. The Siren Song and Leopard Spots bottles are quite unique in their own little way, too. I've always had this strange fascination with bottles and shapes, so these were a delight to see. I can't wait until you get around to actually selling them!
:paranoid::dollarus:

...And this is totally unrelated to the picture, but can you read Japanese? Those mangas to the right... don't look like they're in English. :U

Thanks a bunch. :D The bottle shapes were carefully chosen. I drew about 4 of the labels and then I went bottle shopping so the rest of them were tailor-made to fit the bottles that I bought. Most of them are from antique stores. The canister was a spur of the moment thing and I was really lucky to find it. It was going to be for tentacle repellent but I couldn't get away from a vertical design for the tentacles so I decided to make it something else. It turned out really well.
They're all for sale on my Etsy site, although one of my friends commented that they're expensive. -_-;

And, yes, I can read a bit of Japanese. ^^ I lived in Japan for a little while and bought WAAAAY too much manga while I was there. :D Manga is so cheap there!!! :O New books range from 390 yen to 520 yen and used books are usually about 200 to 300 yen. I picked up a whole bunch of manga for 100 yen and even some for 5 and 10 yen! Most of them were useless, but I bought them... ^^; Back when I was there, it was 125yen to every American dollar so it made them even cheaper. ^_^

Oh how delightful! Bottles and canisters of all sorts are always fun to check out and just admire, so I bet your little bottle-seeking venture was fun. Hopefully they didn't cost much! Erm... and I'm sorry if this is a totally stupid question, but may I have a link to your "Etsy site"? :3

...goodness, $40 for the Fairy Nectar?
:iconohnoesplz:
Oh my! I'm going to have to write an essay or something to convince my mum to let me get that. Because we're in sort of a budget rut right now she's picky about what I spend my money on. So hopefully when I show her that Fairy Nectar she won't say "wtf"... D:

It's expensive because I like it. ^^; That's usually the number one reason. The originals are all going to be pretty high, but that one is highest because I doubt I'll be able to find another brass sprayer. I may not ever use the label again. o_o
